The George and Dragon is situated in on the market place Ashbourne, Derbyshire.
It has been under new ownership by Sue and Dave since 2014. Come and visit us at our family run establishment which has been recently lovingly refurbished.
We pride ourselves on our wide range of home cooked mains, hearty puddings and daily specials.
We are pooch friendly with our own resident pooch, Ruben the Dachshund.
For bookings over please give us a call to arrange a reservation, Pre-orders may need to be taken for larger groups. We do ask for a £5 per head deposit large groups above 6 people.

The George has a newly refurbished beer garden where we have a decked area and plenty of extra seating. Come and enjoy the sun and a pint of our famous ‘Dancing duck ale’

Our Accommodation
We have 5 letting rooms all with en-suite bathrooms and tea & coffee making facilities.
*Parking* is available on the market place in-front of the pub, it is £2.20 for 2 hours. There are also a few long stay car parks that offer parking for from £2 to £6 which covers parking until 8am the following morning. All car parks are £1 after 6pm until 8am. (These car parks are run by the local council and are subject to change)
Ashbourne is a lovely place to visit and stay, the town is full of character buildings with a range of single ownership quirky shops. We have a large range of pubs and cafes with something to suit all.
